New ATi Drivers.

Thanks for the heads up. Is it my imagination, or did ATI just come out with some new drivers not too long ago?

is anyone else having trouble with the ati site, i cant get them to download --> "cannot find server" message

I was just able to download the drivers fine. Maybe the server was just congested at that moment you tried downloading.

I hope I can install these when I try them. The last Catalysts don't install on my system (driver INF error).

Try installing the reference drivers. A lot of people were having that problem.

Anyone benched the new drivers? There's supposed to be a very big OpenGL performance boost (and they said they fixed the texture thing too)

I installed the new drivers but now screen is bigger then the monitor, and when I move my mouse it scrolls the screen to the unseen parts.

How do I turn this off???

Thanks

It's good to see ATI putting out drivers more frequently. I got a 10% increase with the last set of catalisty drivres on my Radeon 8500 LE.

I wish one thread about a driver could come up without a mention of 3dmark. 🙂

These drivers made everything look so much nicer for me in OGL.

They are the reference drivers. I wasn't even aware that there are third party Catalysts.

The reference drivers are for powered by ATI cards not built by . They seem to clear up the installation inf error for those that were having that problem.

From Rage 3D
People with cards powered by ATI such as Hercules, Gigabyte, Sapphiretech, etc need to download the reference drivers for everything to install correctly. Not sure what board you have? Then I would recommend installing the reference drivers as they are exactly the same as Builtby ATI drivers.

I have a genuine ATi card, not a third party board.

I suppose I can try those alternative drivers though.
