Hey guys!!

I saw checking up on www.mlife.com yesterday after the superbowl and found out that AT&T (associated with mlife) WIRELESS has new plans that are pretty good! Right now, if you get a TWO-YEAR contract, you get 50% more ANYTIME minutes for free! I just signed up a two year play about 2-3 weeks ago, so I'm going to change it to this new plan.

What I'm paying for now: $39.99/month = 400 ANYTIME + Unlimited Nights/Weekend that starts at 8pm.

The new plan: $39.99/month = 600 ANYTIME + 3000 Nights/Weekend that starts at 8pm.

So yeah, I'm going to switch tomorrow. Just a heads up to let you guys know. This may or may not be a good deal for you, but just check out the AT&T wireless website or just go to mlife.com.

good luck and hope this helps!

Ya this is a real good deal if you don't mind the 2 year contract. I usually can find a better plan with in a month so I don't know about this plan. But strictly talking about mins. this plan is great

A 2 year contract is not a good deal. Price and deals are always getting better. I'm staying away.

This is suppose to be a big thing, but yeah, 2 years is WAY too long. I overheard a cell phone salesman talking about this to one of his customers. He kept saying, "AT&T is going to have a BETTER plan coming out, but I can't tell anyone." I guess this is it.

ASK AROUND BEFORE YOU BUY IT TO SEE WHAT KIND OF SERVICE PPL ARE GETTING FROM THE TOWERS If it's anything like Sprint...it's only in the Big cities and along the interstates. If you even THINK about going out into "the county" then you can FORGET getting reception! :D

G'L!

God Bless

Is it just me or does everyone else find the mlife TV ads stupid and annoying? They keep mlife a mystery and want you to go to their website.

Yah "mlife" means AT&T marketing gimmick. They are just trying to develop a brand name for their wireless service. Its nothing new, your phone isn't going to suddenly espousing the secrets of life or happiness now that it is an "mlife" phone. As for finding a new and better deal every month, I'm not sure what you guys do all day, but lots of people work and don't have the time to bargain hunt for everything they buy or use. I only do it for expensive electronic "toys". Something like a mobile phone is a necessity but an afterthought, not something I want to compare rates and phones on a monthly basis. Hell I don't even check my phone bill, I just pay it, takes too much time otherwise.

You should be thankful for what these guys do for you. Without them, you'll have to bargain hunt yourself which will take even more time off your busy schedule. You have no idea how much time and money I've saved just peeking into the Hotdeals section every now and then. Just be happy knowing someone out there is comparing rates and phones on a monthly basis for you!

Btw, looking at how many messages you've posted and the date you joined.. it doesn't seem you are that extremely busy with work. :)

I missed the last AT&T plan period which ended 1/27/02. During that period, one would get free long distance and 250 anytime min. for 29.99 (if I remember correctly). Some local store offered Free 8260 with two year contract.

Now (till sometime in April), no more free long distance with local calling plan and all you can get is $50 rebate for phone which can only buy you a free 3360 ) and no activation fee for two year contract. To get free long distance, one has to go to the regional plan which only has 120 anytime min.

It sucks. Hope they will come up with better plan after April.

BTW, the double minutes promotion seems to only apply to local calling plan with $39.99 and up. Also, the "mLife" is just a way to get your attention. In fact, you can see the "double minutes for life" directly from attwireless.com page without going through the mlife page.

(I am in Nor. California)

AT&T seems to have quite good coverage in Bay Area with very good signal.

MCI uses AT&T's network so in terms of signal and coverage, it should be good too. Just be warned that MCI customer service sucks. If everything is ok, you are ok. If something is wrong, expect to hold for at least 20-30 min. to talk to some idiot there. However, usually you will get better deal (in terms of free phone, or better phone) from MCI dealers.

Just my 2 cents

ATT worst cell company in NYC area, but anyway i think my old (september) plan is better:
39.99 for:
400 any time
1000 any time ATT mobile to mobile minutes
Unlimited N/W
No roaming in all west USA.
All for life.

Most of my pick minutes is used between me and my wifes (also ATT) phone.
My past month statements was with only 100 pick minutes and the rest of all fall in to the 1000 M-to-M.

Too many gotchas as pointed out. BTW- AT&T Wireless local metro service in Atlanta is much worse than the other providers ( Cingular, Verizon, Voicestream, Nextel)
