New Asus 6970, black screen 4 beeps - help

Dont have any other computers which are capable of running it though. May have to take it to the local computer repair place near me and see if it works for one of his systems.
 
Sorted now. Turns out the 6970 wasn't outputting through dvi. It was only outputting through the display ports. Weird. No idea how to fix it so I just bought a display port to hdmi adaptor. Cheers for all the help guys.

Glad you got it sorted out. Not sure if I would sit happy knowing 2 display outputs don't work on my new graphics card, but to each their own. If you don't feel like RMAing it, make sure your DP adapter is solid. Some can be finicky. Otherwise, enjoy!
 
Unless you bought used, I would definitely call the MFR and see what they have to say about it. All your display options should work. This is what a warrantee is for.
 
Yeh I might email them just to ask whats up with it. The other ports probably work, but the port assigned is the display port. Wonder if there is a way to select the other ports.

96Firebird - What do you mean by some DP adaptors are finicky? The one I have is by 'startech cables' and seems to work fine.
