I have sooo many media playing devices. I was going to pass on the Apple Tv.
But for the price I figured I'd risk the 10% apple store restocking fee and try it.
Well of all my media playing devices, apple tv I like the best.
As to netflix, which I also have build into my wifi tv and BR dvd player, apple tv lets me
actually browse the play the entire netflix instant-play catalog. My other netflix playing
devices just lets you view and play your instant-view que you created in netflix.

Another plus, it streams my iTunes purchases and non purchased video from my pc better than any other of the pc streaming devices I have. Especially HD iTunes movies stream smoothly without pausing or freezing. I always thought it was wireless
internet speed issues with my other streaming devices. Now I believe its the faster processor in the apple tv that made the difference in smoothly reliable streaming.
Oh.. my other streaming devices do not stream iTunes. Wanted to add that.

Another thing I like is the internet radio feature in apple tv.

Apple tv is well worth the price. Works the best of all my media streaming-playing devices. Now I wish they'd just add VUDU streaming to it also.
 
itunes is transcoding the bitrate dynamically and buffering more on apple tv. it's an illusion.

Throw your pc in a small box and watch how much better the quality of the video (full 1080p) is.
