It didn't have buttons before? How the hell did you use it?
LOLApple. It had buttons on the headphones, and I think it also use voice control. It certainly had voiceover that would tell you what was playing.
The Shuffle already had buttons two generations ago. Then some idiot at Apple decided to remove the buttons on the last generation Shuffle.Think of the people who would buy an iPod Shuffle. People that listen randomly to music. All you would need is controls to go to the next song, pause, and volume controls. That's it.

Actually this is perfect for me. All I want is an mp3 player I don't need to look at so I can change songs in my car through the Aux input. I always hated my iPhone because it always required me to look at my player to change songs. Also my Sansa clip was annoying in that I had to flip through menu's to choose from random playback to straight.
Also, the intervals between charges is much better because of a lack of display. (Even though I have a charger in my car.) My clip needed charging every other day with only a few hours of use.
I'll definitely be purchasing one of these.
The iPod shuffle was a good device when it debuted and still is.
