Having thoroughly read the first post, I have to tell you that it's my opinion that $140 for the fulltower sounds like a really good price to me. If you want a fulltower and if you want that particular power supply, that is.

I really like the fulltower with that particular interior design. The removable drive bays are especially nice.

What I don't like is the fact that the 80mm fan for the drive bay snaps into the bay. This, of course, means that you have to unplug the fan in order to take the bay out.

One other thing I don't like about these cases is that in order to get to the fan filter (covers both front 80mm) you have to take the front panel of the case off.

I like the rails that the power supply sets on. I also like the fact that that rear wall comes up to just over the height of the motherboard.

This is my fulltower. Interior looks just like the new one with the exception of the 120mm fan.

PlasticJesus,

Nice cableing!

You have made some mod to your PSU?

Are there also some fan on top?

Thanks!

No, there are no fans in the top. That's just shadowing in the picture.

The urge came one day to mod the PSU. Once the urge hits it just has to be done.

This doesn't have all the cabling that a True430 is supposed to have. I cut out what I don't want.

The cabling that comes out of the side simply goes over the top of the PSU then down behind that rear wall mentioned earlier. One line out the front and to the top because I like the cabling to at least look like the length is exact. This for a system that is never seen.

Why? Why not? It's a sickness, I believe.

Out the side
Out the front

I think it's possible that I may have voided the warranty on this one. But then again, who needs a warranty for an Antec?

In reply to: "One other thing I don't like about these cases is that in order to get to the fan filter (covers both front 80mm) you have to take the front panel of the case off. "

Actually, there is no need to take off the front panel. The filter slides out through a slot in the bottom of the front panel very easily. Just lay the case on the side. You can see the bottom of the filter. Gently pinch the outer plastic tabs toward the center and pull it out. This is true of my new TX1088AMG, as well as my two older Antec full tower cases. However, sometimes some of the dust scrapes off on the inside of the panel as you pull it out.

PJ, the interior of your case looks great! Mine is a mess; your photo has inspired me.

I'm still waiting on my NewEgg order CPU/memory/DFI MB, so I can't comment yet on how quiet it is. They bumped the price of the case up $20 on Monday, so I got it locally at Directron. I'll be upset if the CPU duct attached to the side of the case isn't over the CPU location on the DFI motherboard. I thought the duct would be somewhat adjustable as to where it pointed, but it isn't.

Doesn't look like the hard drives are cooled here. 7200rpm drives can get pretty hot too - and when they're cramped together like that, they'll easily exceed 60C. I like the designs that have a 120mm fan blowing right over the drive cage in the front.

There's an 80mm fan at the front of the cage. :Q

In front of the hard drive cage, or below it? I can only see a fan mount right below the hard drive cage. If there is one in there, it's hidden pretty good.

On the Antec site it says that there are "2 front (optional) 80mm fans"

Link

The reason I knew it was at the front of the cage is that I recently built a computer using the PlusView1000AMG which also had two front 80mm fans, one of those being at the front of the hdd cage.

Correct. The TX1088AMG has is a mounting bracket for an 80mm fan attached to the front of the hard drive cage, and there is another one below the drive cage. This size fits the drive cage perfectly. The 120mm fan on the back of the case plus the 120mm fan in the included TruePower 480 power supply exhaust the case well. I haven't mounted the 80 and 92 on the side panel yet, but will soon.
The DFI nF4 ULtra-D motherboard's CPU location is a little lower than the CPU duct attached to the side of the case, which holds the 92mm fan, so I'll have to mod the side a bit to lower the duct. Shouldn't be difficult, but I wish the duct was vertically adjustable.

Has anyone seen a review of Antec TX1050B or the Smart Power2 500w ? They say the psu has advanced cable management. That refers to modular cables ?

have a look here i think i'm like you i wonder which case to chose

I like modular but it's a smart power with 2 fans and i need the 120 fan which come from the true power to cool my ram
