Wow, Antec is actually on the Message Boards? Now this is what I call customer service 😀 You guys should consider making some Small Form Factor Cases or Case Modification accessories, built-in case handles would get a thumbs up for me.

After looking at it again I was just wondering this, but wouldn?t those holes shaped into the word ANTEC negate the affect of the front air filter. I mean the air will take the path of least resistance so it will just come in through those holes and bring any dust along with it. The air filter will just block the air coming in from the front of the case so it will just come in from side ANTEC holes.

Any thoughts on this?

I think the holes in the side panel look a little cheesy (sorry AntecCSR) and are likely to let out more noise. The interior of the case is laid out a lot like the Pentium3 Gateway systems we have at work, including the 120mm rear fan mount and the sideways drives, but without the no-tools gizmos for the CD-ROM drives and stuff. Nice choice of PSU's at 380W and apparently along the lines of the TruePower design.

AntecCSR... FireWire adapter thingies? By the way, I see our latest Plus660AMGs have enhanced wiring for the front USB ports... looks like USB 2.0-compliant cable... very nice! 😀

good to see increasing use of 120mm fans, especially in a non-full tower case. TBH i fail to see why nearly all cases now (where there's room) arent dual 120mm instead of 2-4 80mm's - can have much less noise or much more airflow, or a bit of both.

120 is cool but those holes and stuff just look fugly IMHO.

Not sure if I like the hard drive mounting, have to try itmyself to see.

Yes, AntecCSR is an active forum member, especially at Ars. Treat him well, and he will return the sentiment in spades, I guarantee it.

And I agree on the SFF comment, Antec's SFF offerings are weak to nonexistant.

I just hope the Antec Aluminum cases are made with a thicker aluminum than the TurboLink/Chieftec ones are. I think they're only 1mm...feels kinda cheap compared to the LianLi and Coolermaster cases which are 1.5mm

That's the ugliest Antec i've ever seen!!!!!!!!! what were they thinking??!?!

Nice idea with the sideways hard disks, it's unique but cable wise it's a MESS.

I'm still a BIG fan of the 660 AMG (in beige) or rather the Performance II SX 630, damn good design - simple but smart - worth every cent.
