Well.. not NEW new.. but coming back for the summer.

I took a drive a few days ago up to the Anheiser-Busch factory in Fort Collins and took the factory tour.

At the end, they mentioned they are the exclusive brewer of most of the seasonal beers for AB and the factory is currently producing Wild Blue - a Blueberry Beer.

We had a chance to sample it, and let me tell you.. ITS AWESOME.

Normally, i'm not a fan of fruity beers, but i'll make an exception here.

When you see the stuff in the store, you might not even know that this is an Anheuser-Busch product, but it is.

Wild Blue Blueberry Lager pours to a purple color with an equally purplish head.

There’s lots of blueberry in the palate and in the aroma.

Alcohol content is higher than most beers at 8% by volume

I recommend.

That sounds delicious!
Although I enjoy an ounce of OJ in my Rickard's White, too. So I'm just fruity all around.

Any beer with fruit in the title is not beer.

I may try this one, but I highly doubt it's worth the time...make a believer out of me!

I see this as another attempt to shoot for the "I can't stand beer taste" crowd, esp. the under 18 crowd, akin to the liquored up teas, lemonades, etc.

Yeah this stuff is horrible, tastes more like grapejuice than beer. If you want to try a decent blueberry beer, bar harbor blueberry ale is not bad. I'm sure there are others out there but that one is easily available in the northeast as least.
