HardOCP managed to OC the XFX FatBoy to 1670MHz for the core and 9.2GHz on the memory.
They also OCed the EVGA GTX 1060 SSC GAMING to 2152MHz

After both cards were oced to maximum the 590 was up to 20% faster than the OCed GTX 1060.
80C at 100% fan speed with that max overclock! 😱
Well, at least we know those speeds are possible without an exotic chiller 😛 120 watts more power consumption at the wall over the overclocked 1060 is pretty substantial though. Still, when even the overclocked 590 system was running <400 Watts from the wall, it's all got to be taken in context. If I gamed 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, the difference would cost me less than $1 a month. The difference to cool that extra heat load, would definitely vary, but even doubling the effective energy required to pump that heat outside using Central A/C, it would be less than $3 a month to entirely free if you're heating your home.
