I would rate it a 7 as well, not because the parts are bad, just that you could get a more functional PC for less money. things like the TT Pipe , Silent Cat fan, XMS memory, GS 6800GT, PSU, HD, and that case all have have better priced and just as functional counterparts. Even the floppy could probably be had for a buck or two cheaper if you went with Teac.

Anyways, I would rate it about the same as mine, because performance would probably be slightly better than mine if we had the same CPU, but I could save at least 30% of the cost and still have something within 3% of your performance.

Of course, not everything has to be about price/performance. :) With the rice factor, you get a 9.

One quick ?, I am wanting to get a similar system as far as 939 .09 chip and 6600 gt, does that motherboard have pci-e cause right now 6600gt's only come in pci-e as far as i know.

I don't like your choice of motherboard, processor, or memory. Those are three huge factors for me, thus I voted "1".

LOL. Oh yeah I'm a n00b who's been here for over 4 years with nearly 5,000 posts. Seriously.

If you didn't want criticism, you shouldn't have asked for our opinions.

You chose a VIA chipset over the nForce3 which was stupid IMO. Then you spent $200+ extra on the CPU unnecessarily. For what you're spending on your memory, you could get some awesome OCZ stuff that would have been better.

As for the GPU, yes I think that was a poor choice too. I hope you realize that as soon as you want to upgrade your motherboard, your graphics card will become a paperweight.

I'm not just saying this stuff, and believe me I'm not jealous. I'll soon have an nForce4 setup w/ a 3000+ 0.09um A64 that will blow your system out of the water for 1/3 the cost.

May I recommend this board ? Most people seem to like the nforce boards over the VIA based ones.

p.s. also comes with rounded cables.
