Is Miranda considered garbage compared to Trillian then? I haven't used Trillian in years, and quit using Miranda recently too. I'm back to plain old MSN, and it seems to do the job.

It doesn't matter. Trillian connects to them all, so just dump all of that ****** software, install trillian, put in all your screen names and passwords, and POOF you're all connected at once.
