I'm sure most of you have seen the specs on the new console systems coming out soon, and I can't help but be amazed. When the PS2 and xbox came out, us computer gamers didn't pay much mind to the technology, for good reason. The ~300mhz PS2 was hardly impressive, and the xbox was just a 733mhz celeron with 128mb and a GF2 (at a time we were all running 1ghz+, 512mb+, and gf3/r200+). Argueably, it was enough to play cheaply made games at TV resolution.
These new system specs are incredible to say the least. The ultra powerful cpus, pipeline stuffed GPU's, and everything else to pick up the slack in between rivals PC's on every level except functionality. Hopefully, it's for more than just gaming at 1080i.
