I know some people that use a phrase and take the first letter of each word and make that their password. I don't do that.

I'm also careful that my forum passwords are not in the same category as my financial passwords. So if someone figures out any logic behind the forum stuff (an evil admin perhaps) they wouldn't get my financial data.

That's what doing it backwards is for :)

That's what the context-modifier is for :)

That's what the context-modifier is for :)

I prefer to keep my important passwords VERY different.

For financially sensitive logins:

fin-[password]-context

???

A double modifier. I doubt a shady froum admin could get that considering that there wouldn't have had a prefix at all on the forum password :)
