Nice find. These 1.4 chips are actually rated at 1400mhz. K4J52324QC-BC14 700MHz 1.4Gbps/pin

Should even have some overclocking headroom. Now if you could get 7800GTX with this ram, you might be able to overclock your way very close to 7800GTX 512mb speeds for a fraction of the cost. Hopefully the launch of X1900XT and G71 will drive GTX prices to $300 levels and manufacturers start shipping them with this memory. OHhhh this can be reminiscent of Albatron 4200 Turbo P Medusa days....

FYI the 7300 is targetted at the 6200's market so when it launches in your area, pricing should be very similar.

This 7800GT 512mb looks like a very sweet card though.

7300GS was paper launch , you aren't going to see them in shop untill early feb. Nvidia is going back it to its old days.
7800gtx 512MB is so limited and so expensive but some anandtech named robin got 6 7800GTX 512MB for free ... making me think he works for nvidia. his thread sort of looks like a damage control for R580 launch on tuesday.

tuteja1986 - You have a strange definition of a "paper launch". I had a 7300 in my hands today at a store ready to buy. I live in Singapore and I found one place in Sim Lim Square with it in stock and most of the other stores say they'll have the card next week.

The one that was in stock was a XFX 256 meg version. It went for $158 Sing or about $96 US. That price includes GST (5% in Singapore). It is Lunar New Year in just over a week and stores are packed here (I use Lunar because my company has operations in Korea as well and they certainly don't celebrate "Chinese New Year" <grin> ). The explanation of releasing in Asia first makes sense. What I bet actually happened in the cards are made out here anyways and Lunar New Year always messes up shipping. So NVIDIA sped the release up a little to catch the extra shopping (all that red envelope money has to go somewhere ...).

I don't have a full PCIe system put togetehr, so I couldn't buy the card and benchmark it. It actually is my stopgap choice in case the "G71" takes a little while. Cheap and should be able to drive my LCD in games as long as I don't turn all the eye candy on.

I am also happy that a launch has been carried out elsewhere to the US. I think its common sense that they tried to catch the sales period in their lunar new year. Why not send all stocks there for a couple of weeks. Understandably, the 7300 is likely to sell in greater proportions in the region.

I don't see it as a worldwide launch, but one limited to asia. Just like the xbox 360 launch.

FYI, I live in the UK and we usually get things a week after you guys in the US.
