New 6850 and DVI trouble

EDIT: Lots of babbling about the DVI-D connection supposedly not working.

Turns out to be fine now. I read elsewhere that it is sometimes necessary to unplug the power cord from the monitor, and then cycle the power. I did this, but honestly it may have simply been something not connected securely. Everything works like you'd expect. Sigh.

You have one dual-link DVI port, and one single-link DVI output.

Hope that clears things up.
All you need to do is plug it into the other DVI port.
 
I'll double check that when I get home. I could swear I tried both ports and it was failing to display on both (except via the dvi-vga cable), but I tried so many permutations after the initial panic of "it doesn't work!" that maybe I just confused things 🙂
