When my dog was 3 to 6 months of he was the reincarnation of Satin, and because of him I will never get another puppy, I will adopt a 1 year old from the pound instead.

If you actually train your dog, especially a pointer like this one, they can be incredibly well behaved.
 
My wife has lots of experience with dogs. She and her father have had a Rottweiler kennel for the last 15 years. So this pup will be well trained and will behave. As well as loved 🙂
 
Congrats! He looks great! We just had a litter of pups. Our AKC Flat-coated retriever, Ch Charwill's Kahlua (Kali) just had 9. Pics My wife put up this little page. Most of the pups are spoken for, though we are keeping one from this litter.

They ( wife and daughter ) are thinking along the lines of gun type names. Right now they have Gunner / Ruger .... still thinking and adding though. Plus there is the AKC name they want to add.

Barrett, Smith, Wesson, Colt, Sako, Winchester, Remington...
 
Very smart dogs, need lots of exercise (read somewhere "at 8 miles they are warming up")

If you are going to hunt there's training involved.
