New 55nm BFG GTX260's available!

Don't get too attached to the looks of the card because it will change. Someone somewhere made a mistake and the graphics on the card are identical to the original BFG GTX 260. 😱 Future batches will say Maxcore 55 on the card itself. But yes, these are 55nm cores.
 
I personally wish it was more common for partners just keep the stickers off and leave the cards the way they are from NVIDIA. IMO, all the stickers look cheap compared to the NVIDIA graphic already on the stock cooler. I don't need snarling dogs, flames, or crazy guys on my video cards. Yeah, yeah, I know they want to distinguish their cards from other brands, but best way to do that is offer a sweet warranty and excellent service and support. (IMO)

I agree...But to take it one step further, include the stickers in the box & let us decide if we want to put them on the cards or not...Some people might even prefer to put the stickers on their case (not me, but others might)...I don't even like most of the stickers that are on the cards...They look like they were designed for & by 16 year olds...Really not my preference...I really like the solid black look, especially on something like the GTX 295...A solid black version of that card would look sick...

No disagreement here. My personal most hated stickers:

- XFX Alpha Mutt
- MSI Warcraft-rip Orc
- Sapphire blind Lara Croft wannabe
- Foxconn psychedelic LSD-influenced art deco abstract art
- classic ATI flames (because flames = faster?)
- BFG voodoo guy who looks like a late 90s era CG rendering

The more recent 200 series artwork from EVGA and XFX have been pretty tame and palatable.

The back side of the card is not covered, it's just plain PCB. The 65nm ones have a cover that cools the RAM chips on the back, but the 55nm chip version cards don't have RAM chips on the back, so no cooling is needed. The cooler itself is also slightly different, but the lack of the back cover is the easiest way to tell.
