Intel Machine (P4C 3.0 R9800 Pro) @ stock speeds = 18,300 3dmarks 01. = 5800 3dmarks 03.

I've given up on overclocking... it's not worth the hassle to reboot, mess w/ settings, run a 10 minute benchmark and post some numbers here... My comp does everything I want as fast as my monitor can display it. And hopefully by saturday it will do it quietley (gpu heatpipe & panaflo fans)

AMD Machine (2500+ @ 2.2ghz GF4ti4400 @ 300\599) = 13,253 3dmarks01. (I'm as shocked as you are) = 1700 3dmarks 03. :eek:

Both play America's Army just fine... although I like how the 9800 can play @ 1280x1024 w/ 4xAA 8xAF. The GF4 just runs at 1280x1024 w/ 4xAA No AF.

PRINT "HELLO WORLD /n";

I've been lurking here for a long time and decided it was finally time to register... heh

These forums helped me significantly when I was building my new system earlier this year. I was looking for a fast system with decent OC ability and the information gathered here was invaluable. I ended up with a P4 3.0/ Abit 1C7 system with a 5900 card and am loving it.

I pushed it hard when I first built it and was able to squeeze 20K+ 3DMarks back in July.

I've recently upgraded to the latest BIOS and latest video drivers, so maybe I'll try to push 21K :)

I haven't played around with 3DMark2k3 too much, but I think I was around 6400 or so. I'll have to dig that up.

Anyway... hello all!
