New 3dfx drivers...

I've installed them and haven't notices any performance differences, except that alice now runs slower. Can I reinstall the older drivers over the new ones to revert back?
 
I reinstalled the drivers and now there is no problem but no improvement either. HSR doesn't seem to do anything either.
 
HSR has to be a joke when people got benchmarks higher than the 266MHz DDR Athlons running at 1600MHz at lowest detail while frame rates were still scaled to cpu!

This driver release was not about speed, it was about covering the texture corruptions in the previous ones and adding some Dx8 support such as multisampling.
