Well:

while it was visually stunning, the script was poor, the acting was good (particularly fassbender) but the characters were shallow and dull. The build of suspension was excellent in places but the overall plot wasn't suspenseful, it didn't build over the course of the film, there was no real climax. And the spoiler thing that I won't mention kind of sucked in execution

That sucks. I had high hopes for it.
 
Anybody seeing the movie tonight at midnight?

I got my ticket for Friday afternoon. Can't wait.

The reviews are not spectacular but I don't care. It should be nice in IMax3D.
 
I've been watching a lot of ESPN with the NBA finals and the non-stop marketing including plugs by Stephen A. Smith and lame product tie'ins (Coors Light...really?????) are turning me sour to it.

I don't know what the marketing costs for this thing are, but it's off the charts.
 
I'm watching SyFy network run through the entire series including AVP right now. I know that one sucks, but still it gets me in the mood.

I'm still on media black out of any more information. You know how much I love this? I'm actually enjoying aliens vs. predator.
 
Saw MIB 3 in IMAX 3D last night and they had a solid 3+ minute trailer for Prometheus in IMAX 3D.

This is one movie I would definitely pay the extra for in IMAX. And because of the cost, I think a lot of the riff raff are turned off by the cost.

$17.50 in our hood for IMAX 3D - thankfully we get in for free.
