Best Buy had a one page flyer in the paper this morning valid for today only (11/24). These are in addition to the Thanksgiving deals but certainly not as dramatic or impressive. Sorry. don't have a scan. Some of the deals:

19" Mag monitor .25 pitch $199.99-%50 rebate = $129.99
Toshiba notebook C1Mhz 256mb 20gb DVD 13.3 TFT $899.99 after rebates
Magnavox 19" TV $99.99

Oops Sorry. That's what happens when one tries to type at 6:30 in the morning. Actually, I believe my first computer was around 1 Mhz. And it damn near cost $899 too.

Who cares how good the monitor is... it is SO cheap. You could get the xtended warranty for probably $39 since the monitor is <200. Heck, get two... and get a Dual Monitor Video Card. that would rule.

EDIT: I had a MAG monitor in the past. Probably bought it in 1992. In 1995 or so.. I had to get the HV supply replaced... but other than that it is STILL going (I gave it to my parents-in-law).

The Mags aren't the greatest monitors in the world. The screen is round and the text is blurry at high resolutions. Plus the one my parents have has an odd tendency to lose size and geometry settings randomly. For the price it's ok, I wouldn't spend $200 on it though.

It is a Mag 986FS.

As per my PM, you are right. It is now showing $199. I still have it as $149 in my cart. Dilemma time. If I order it I won't get a response in time for an in-store pickup today to try for the $70 rebate.

There should be no question on this. Purchase it and pick it up at your local store. While there, inquire about the rebate - I'll bet you'll get one. Even if you don't, it's better to pay $20 more and avoid the rebate hassles.

I have to disagree. After playing around with some color settings and a few other little details, I'm getting a pretty damn good pic. Not to mention it's $50 less than the 17" I was just about to buy. Good deal for me.

19" is huge when you've been playing around with a 15"!
