In MotorTrend some time ago, there was a small pic of a "Jeep Rescue" model or something like that.

Basically, it was a Grand Cherokee on steroids. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Right now, I'm drooling over the 2005 Ram Powerwagon (when it comes out) It's expensive ($45K!) though.

Any idea on new engines? I like the Rubicon, but 15mpg is a tad too low. A diesel Wrangler on the other hand.... 🙂

i concur, my dad had a '76 Bronco and thats what i thought when looking at the pic.

It'll be interesting to see if that's what it actually looks like. I like alot of the throwback cues to the CJ's (turn signals, side mirrors)

Take a picture of the Jeep Rescue (nice Jeep, BTW) and place it over top of this "Wrangler." You will notice that they are EXACTLY the same. THis is a photoshop and is not real.

There used to be a gif showing this, but I cannot find it.

I rented a Jeep Wrangler once down in Cancun. Miserable little vehicle. I hope to never have the misfortune to drive one again.
