So, I took delivery of my new black beauty last Sunday. I have all kinds of things I'd like to do to her, but wanted to see what you all think. Frankly, I'd like to modify it and run it at the strip on weekends. :)

I don't care about no stinking warranties. :Q

Two Words: Vortech S-trim

Anything less than that isn't worth the effort unless you're going to do the whole motor. Dicking around with exhaust and cold air intake and crap isn't worth your time.

In other news, I should be driving my new (well, new to me) cobra on Friday :)

Could have done a Cobra, but I cryed when I saw the payment. Other goals prevail. Im thinking about Cams, Heads, Vortech, Exhast, Brakes, Cage, Guages, Suspension, Tires & Wheels and many more toys.......... Obviously this is gonna take alot of time, since it takes time to ration out all the money this will take, but a 5 year project, is kind of what I have in mind. This is not an investment, as it will only bring personal satisfaction. Gotta buy a house first. Damn, though, it's fun to dream.

Anyway, I'm thinkin Pro Street. What about the rear end, tires, wheels, etc?

BTW, I have a friend selling a 98 Cobra with Saleen Trim kit on it. It's white, and has every Receipt from day one. He wants a cool $14k. I've seen it and it's very nice. He's 40 something and does not flogg his rides. About 80k miles on it, but he says it has about 10k of transferable warranty.

Some 3.73 gears would be nice and maybe a shorter throw shifter.

No left over Mach 1s around you? I keep hearing about people getting those for $20k-23k.

Mach I, yeah we have a few, but I don't want to shift. Besides, most of those on a nostalgia trip buy the mach. ;)

I'd park it in the driveway and then go inside and play video games.

And, me and the best looking girl at your school will take off in it and make whoopie, geek! :D

"make whoopie"? You been watching The Newlywed Game reruns again? Who's the geek?

As for me, If I had the $$? I'd trade it in on something else. I don't like the newer Mustangs. :p

Oh, Damn, I forgot, NERDS buy imports. My mom (68 YO), just bought a maxima. Nice car for a grandma. I'm young enough to prefer a bit of rumble. ;)

And yet you bought an autotragic :( Apparently you're not quite young enough to row that thing, eh? :)

Buy a hairpiece so you would complete your image of a Middle Aged guy going through Midlife crisis;)

Kenne Bell 2V twin screw supercharger. Cooler air temperature and boost on demand. Get the intercooler so you can run 9psi safely.

Gears and drag radials and you're done.

I would probably drive it a little, maybe give it a good cleaning when it got dirty.

I'd run it stock for a few months just for comparison. Then Vortec, intercooler, full exhaust, head, cam, high stall, adjustable shocks & some good springs, and then some drag radials.

:) Nice car, have fun with it.
