Neverwinter for XBoxOne

Been playing the last few days, and liking it so far. Playing a drow elf rogue, and made level 19 in about 3 days. Surprisingly, I really enjoy playing using the controller.

Don't have to pay to play, but so far, I've got a lot of chest drops you can't open unless you buy enchanted keys @ 125 Zen(in-game currency)a piece, about $10 for a 1000 Zen. Just like other games of this type, there are various packages, items, storage slots, etc., you'll be paying real money for.

Yeah, I finally got around to playing this weekend. I just got up to level 12 last night - about 10 hours of playing time. Been playing a Drow Hunter. It's better than I thought it was going to be but I need to spend more time and play some instances to get a better idea.

I have not done anything with Zen yet, and probably won't unless I get truly addicted to the game.

The main annoyance in this game is the lag when in community areas with lots of people around.

To add to the lag, I've had a couple random disconnects yesterday, and also got stuck in a login queue at 153. As soon as that message popped up though, I was in the game...all in all though, I think it's smooth running compared to some other MMO's go-lives.

I did a 5-man dungeon yesterday that was pretty fun. With companions, it was like having a party of 10. I wonder if Neverwinter will have any boss fights where groups will actually have to plan a strategy to win because right now, everyone just kinda rushes in and kills everything that pops up.

Very action oriented MMORPG, PC side has pretty much died out so they are pressing consoles. Maxed a couple characters when it was beta to live (maxed in live) nothing new, but fairly pretty (terra is better game if you want one like this, but its not console so i guess that makes it moot). I would say a perfect fit for consoles (vindictus should be pushed to consoles,it would be perfect!) and worth a look, as a MMORPG it pretty much a B grade game. Good graphics, ok classes adn most everything else, average to below average gameplay. You want AD&D the original (but very dated) is the best.

Played it for summer after it released. Had a good time with some buddies before it got a bit stale. Back then, the dungeons were pretty darn challenging, as far as MMOs go. It was a lot of fun. After you got the best armor, it got pretty old to re-do all the dungeons, and it seemed that most people just wanted to do exploits, rather than actually beat each one. Seems to be par for the course these days on MMOs, sadly.

The micro transactions weren't too bad either. Spent a few bucks on storage slots and bank slots, but nothing too crazy. Probably dropped ~$40 on the game. Had a good time.

Have not tried on Xbone yet though...

Weird...I was at a friend's this weekend and talked him into getting it. However, when we tried to find it in the online game store, it wasn't there anymore. Did it get pulled???
