Newegg and like will be your cheapest computer parts wholesaler. Margins on computer parts are razor thin and you're not going to do better unless you're Dell, HP, etc.

It's impossible for you to beat Dell, Walmart, and HP sale prices on new computers. Don't even think about competing with them. There is no profit in hardware sales. Real money is in support.

If you want to make money, start a computer repair / service business. Fix people's existing computers and charge for parts and labor. Fix viruses, spyware, etc.

Exactly.

But i will need to get replacement parts. And I would like to do this cheaply. Charge a cheap rate, make them happy and they will refer us to their friends and family. I'm not all about making the money, yes thats nice. But provide a great servie for cheap, once you get well known then mark up the prices a bit.

EDIT: Naustica What a lovely car!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahahah "I'm not all about making the money" yeah thats good.

at elast now you thinking repair/service instead of new. You might have a chance with that. it won't be hard to beat geek squads price's (though you won't take business away). just going to have a hard time convincing people to go to you over them.

Yes software is legal, I'm not that stupid. Rent is free untill we starting makeing good money. And then it is split 70/30, we get 70, he gets 30. I am not trying to prove anything here, nor am i trying to argue. So please post if you are going to help with my original post.

Thanks.

Tyler

so once you go 70/30 then what? you are not going to be makeing much to begine with. Many of us have done this for a living (i know a few here own/owned computer business's) and are giving you some good advice.

you have NO business plan, No knowlege of what the area needs and are slightly nieve.

Not to rain on the parade, but if you're not all about making money, this may not be the wisest venture. If you're going to up your prices as soon as you're well known, you're just going to piss a lot of people off...
