Though they may not be the Delta screamers of yesteryear, they can still remove a nice bit of skin.

Was a Cooler Master 120mm. Nominal RPM is something like 1300RPM, which sounds low, right?

i concur.

you learn from the small shop accidents, and that hopefully helps prevent (knock on wood) the big shop accidents.

once i had a 235 watt fan sitting on a workbench. it's a big fan. 10" diameter, 3" long vaneaxial. moves a lot of air.

i knocked it off, i forget how.

so, in that split second, i, for unknown reasons, decided that i was going to be like Bruce Lee, and catch it, in mid-air.

"THOK" i think may have been the sound it made when the blade cleaved the index finger on my left hand. this piece of calcium, my finger-bone, stopped it.

i went into the bathroom, and opened it up under the faucet. quick, free anatomy lesson, and all that.

i realized that i was about to faint, so i made the 5 steps to the bedroom and collapsed there.

about 45 minutes later i was ready to tape it up and get back to work.

haven't tried to catch a fan since.

i did not have the presence of mind to take a picture.
