Depends on the bike. Some are very very good, others are kind of intrusive. The ABS on the new Honda CBR600RR is supposed to be excellent as is the ABS on some of the BMW motorcycles including the new S1000RR.

I'm quite proud of my impatiens actually. I'll be out there with my gardening implements and matching clogs and apron this weekend. 😛

I'm sure they are great but on the cbr600 they add like 23lbs and it's another thing that can go wrong. I'll pass.

Yeah, I hear this all the time from motorcyclists...personally, I doubt 99% of the people who say that would ever push their bikes enough to notice that extra weight penalty or be able to beat the ABS system on an identical bike not equipped with it.

Yeah, the kicker is there is a red light camera at this intersection too so it would be a guaranteed ticket in the mail. 😀

I know I shouldn't have been trying to make the light...it was just a poor judgement call on my part.
Well, now you have that little guy riding on your shoulder who will whisper quicker than snot that you don't want to hit the accelerator to make a light. Hey, on a motorcycle that sounds like a real bad idea safety wise, not to mention the ticket/insurance hassles you're setting yourself up for. I see people going through lights or stop signs and not getting bit, but I say to myself "there's a person who has been getting tickets."

I've seen worse OP, around here it's not uncommon for a biker to tailgate which I find amazingly stupid, even more so than lane-splitting IMO..
