Never talk politics with relatives

At least if when you voice an opinion on something, they restrict you to literal quotations of laws, etc. I was going over the DMCA, and talking about some of the abuses of that law.


Sorry, can't do that I am told. I can only discuss the law as written.

There is an old saying "Never talk Politics, Religion, or Sex with relatives".

 

I like pissing off my uncle when he comes over by talking about my viewpoints...its funny. But I am going to have to agree...other than what I just said, bad idea for me to talk about anything that involoves opinions.

Or casual friends either. I have found it is best to not discuess any of the above with family or a friend(unless you have known them a killzillion billion years).

My one brother is a staunch coservative. A BUSH campaign volunteer in the last election.

We talk politics sometimes...but he usually avoids it anymore.....as he gets tired of losing...
