A 10 dollar loss to buy a life-supporting customer is certainly worth it. Jerking people because you have an overwhelming fan base is not away to win friends and influence people, and certainly not away to gain media support.

no offense, but why do you deserve $10 for being a retard and not knowing how much your item costs before you buy it?

there is absolutely no reason to pick a fight with someone who doesn't feel like giving you $10 for free. if they do, great, but if not, gtfo

Picking a fight?

Comprehension much?

To this day I don't understand why people continue to masturbate to walmart.

Ralphs, Albertsons, Vons, and Costco may charge a little more than Walmart, but in return customers are given the treatment they deserve and are not forced to deal with retards.

Bolded the lulz.

We're talking about WAL-MART here. Everyone in the country who's not completely clueless knows exactly what they offer: Absolute bare-minimum prices, even at the expense of all other areas of retail. It's an experiment as to what Americans actually demand from their stores, and it is immensely successful.

No-hassle? Professional? Loyal customer? Are you from the past? Wal-Mart doesn't pretend to want your business...their motto is simply that if the prices are low enough, all those "loyal customers" from other stores will put up with the inconvenience, disgust, filth, and abuse in order to save their money. And so far...they're right.

Now, there are some holdouts such as yourself, who are willing to pay a premium for speedy service, competent employees, good customer service, and a tolerable shopping environment. There's nothing wrong with that! Good for you. Feel free to shop at any number of other stores which offer those perks. But when you act as if you honestly expect to find such things at Wal-Mart, that gets a laugh from me. Wal-Mart doesn't care about the customer, their employees, their stores, and certainly not the media: they ONLY operate based on the price. There's no way Wal-Mart is going to cut into their razor-thin margins to let one forgetful customer (and hundreds of scammers) walk out with their product. The other stores can afford to, since that one customer made them enough money to afford the occasional low-life. That's the way we used to roll. Times have changed, and not always for the better.

Fine, then you're expecting us to join on your grand campaign to boycott Wal-Mart and unite in lock-step to demand better customer service, a decent shopping environment, and free cake for all.

It's not going to happen. Harangue on Wal-Mart if you will, but don't expect them to change, and don't expect those of us who are willing to put up with the hassles of Wal-Mart (which aren't bad if you know what you're getting into) to suddenly change our ways.

I don't usually shop at Wal-Mart, and I can certainly see why people would view them as emblematic of American decay. So what? If I need something fast, cheap, and low-quality, they're the go-to guys.

So, let me get this straight, it happened something like this (?):
"Oh, hey I have a gift card, but its not enough," (sad puppy dog face).
"Sorry, we can't do that."
"But, I really want it!" (starts to throw temper tantrum)
"Oh, that's ok, we don't care that we're giving you $10 free dollars for no reason other than to be nice, because we want to be friends with you!"

I like when you mention winning friends as though any company is out to do that. Bottom line, every company that has its own perseverance at in mind is out to screw you as much as possible. Sure, some try to sugar coat it and act like they're not, but you're just being naive if you believe they're not doing the same thing.

I adhere to the customer is right philosophy, but what you're saying is just plain stupid. Why do you think so many stores (even good ones) have had to make significant changes to their return policies? Because there's way too many customers out to take advantage of companies. If a company started doing what you said they would be inundated with people taking advantage of it (for proof check out a popular Deal forum, known around here as chubby wallet).

I find it amazing that so many have problems with the other costumers, workers at walmart.

I go in to buy stuff at the lowest price i can and not to make friends. So i really do not give a shit what the other costumers dress, income, car or whatever is.

i gotta visit these other walmart syou all talk about. The one near me is pretty darn good. its clean, wide isles, always has more then enough registers open etc.

in fact its better then all but 2 stores (even better then target people like to jism over). the 2 stores are new high class places. the prices are a lot higher but man the selection is amazing ( it has a great olive bar). we hit it about once a month to pick up stuff we can't get from sams club and walmart.

Pssssst, you haven't hear the news? That's most of ATOTers, especially the young bucks, are making MILLIONS per year, driving Ferrari, living in mansion, hanging out with movie star, shopping at boutique shop/Rodeo Drive/Fifth Avenue...etc..and on and on...well you get the point.

<<<-----still waiting to hear from ATOTers that said they were making 6 figures incomes BEFORE they are old enough to drink (from another thread a few months ago).

Let me rephrase: I was UNAWARE my GC was $10 short until I bought my item.

But you're totally missing the point. Regardless of my anecdotal evidence, Walmart has documented has one the WORST shopping experiences.

Maybe you guys just have really low standards, or are really cheap.

Costco is way more affordable in the long run, so pay the annual ~50 and enjoy quality goods and quality serviice.

Could you fix your fvcking sig? You have double spaces and then all this blank space at the end of it. It's freaking rediculous.

That said, there's nothing wrong with Walmart. They opened a super walmart about 2 years ago not far from where we live and it's been a great place to shop. I shop, checkout and never have any problems. My wife and I have taken back things that we didn't even have a receipt for and they had no problem taking it back.

Why didn't you just take the 10$ out of her cash yourself. You sound like a pretty big man to threaten all these low paid Walmart employees over 10$ so it's just a step further to help yourself.

So now it is YOUR family money (ie. Mom and Dad) and not YOUR own money as you said/implied in your previous post? So now the number is around $100 for whole family (plural) = about $200 a month vs. OVER $100 for you (singular) = over $400 a month. Which is which? So you said that you paid over $400/month for yourself and now it is less than $200/month for whole family? Something is not right. Let me know if my math is not correct.

So now the WHOLE family is spending LESS than $200 for the whole month on groceries. LOL, I am by MYSELF and I spend almost that much on groceries and I am no way a big spender. And you were making fun at people who shop at WM? LOL, the irony.

Stop it now while you still have a chance to save face. Kid. We could nominate you and the OP as ownage of the year 2007.

BTW, couldn't care less = double negative = do care . Just want to be a bad ass grammar nazi today.

Actually I believe the proper phrase is "couldn't care less". As in you could not care less... basically means you don't care.
