how many people recommend using a razor for me to try? won't i more than likely cut myself? ;x electric shaving seems faster from what i have observed, unless i dont shave for a couple days.

i start off with electric then finish with a mach 3. nothing will ever beat the classoc blades i dont think 🙂

ive yet to try an electric shaver that beats the sensor ive used for ~6 yrs. once you get a system for your face down, it shouldnt take you more than 5 mins for a good close shave with no cuts.

An electric is faster, no doubt, but not nearly as close as a good wetshave. You will probably nick and cut yourself a bit until you get your technique down, maybe a month or so, but after that you shouldn't have much trouble. If you're going to try wetshaving the most important thing is to keep your face, well, wet. Hold a hot, wet washcloth to your face for a minute or so, or at least splash lots of hot water on your face for 30 seconds or so before you begin (a great time to do it is when you step out of a shower; don't towel off your face). Then, for goodness' sake, use decent products. Don't use the junk from a pressurized can. Get a shaving brush (you can find a cheap one at a 'Mart or drugstore for about $6), a decent lather shaving soap (Surrey glycerin or Williams Shaving Mug Soap, both about $1) or cream (Palmolive in the RED tube, $3). Or better yet, if you have a Target store in your area, head to their "spa" section and pick up some Proraso (tube of cream, $12 or jar of shaving soap, $4). For a razor use a few blades as possible: try a Sensor Excel first (the two-blade Sensor Excel, not the new three blade Excel3).

Electric > razor

Electric is cheaper seeing how expensive the razor blades run you, the speed, can do it dry with no problems, and no change of cutting your head off if you slip. 😀

How the hell can an electric be faster? It takes me less than a minute to shave using a disposable gillette good news..............

Seeing how you need to get your face wet, place the gel on, and then shave alot more carefully.

I guess you either just shave your unibrow or have a slow electric razor. 😀

I am a female...so I don't know anything about shaving faces; however, I find that regular razors seem to shave closer on my legs than electric ones.

Yea... that's a special case I think....

Also you got any :camera:'s of said area?

If your going to try a razor for the first time, be sure to take a picture of your face before the shave so they have something to identify the body with.

ive always shaved with a razor, have never cut myself with it...i think i learned to use it pretty quick

<---only 19 😛
