Never order from www.factorydirectcellular.com ! (Got charged, no products!)

So I got a new cell phone on September 1st, 2002. I didn't want to pay the outrageous prices for OEM addons for my phone line a car charger, so I went on the Internet looking for deals. A couple of clicks here and there, and I found www.factorydirectcellular.com ... I liked their website because they specified that the leather case for my phone included the special opening so you could still see the caller ID on the front of the phone (It is a Samsung A460).

I placed my order on September 1st, 2002 for $28.95 on (thankfully) an American Express Private Payments #.

I received 3 e-mails, my receipt and 2 undeliverable e-mails that were sent from the server to I'm assuming the order fulfillment warehouse!

I was immediately worried my order would get messed up, so I sent an e-mail off to customer service which got bounced as well. The next morning I tried again and my e-mail sucessfully went through. I figured if the server didn't queue up the messages and send them again when the server was working (as most e-mail servers do), my customer service e-mail would surely tip them off. Not to mention, I was immediately charged for my products (on September 1st), so I figured they must have shipped them or they must have gotten my order placed properly.

*TEN* business days went by without a product in sight. So I e-mailed customer service again, urging them to fix my problem or I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. Today is 14 business days later, and I have gotten fed up with not receiving any products! To give them the benefit of the doubt I figured I would call them ... I went to www.bbb.org and got the phone number registered with them (they do not have a phone # listed on their website). I called them and received a voice mail message stating that I should e-mail them and then was told I was not allowed to leave a message! So I called American Express and disputed the charge. They immediately took the charge off my card with no arguements (How's that for customer service?).

Additionally, I placed a new order with www.pricesnap.com, a company I have ordered with before and had nothing but good luck with. With a coupon they just recently issued offering 15% off (PM me if you want it), plus the free shipping special they are now offering, they came in cheaper than factorydirectcellular.com *AND* they upgraded my shipping to 2nd Day UPS for free... I ALREADY have my tracking number and I placed my order at 10am today. How is that for service? Lets just say I dont think I'll be looking elsewhere for my cellular accessories anymore. (Dont ask why I didnt order from them in the first place ... I'm just dumb)

Bottom line is be wary if you decide to order from factorydirectcellular.com ...
