Which is best Lcd or plasma for picture quality and quietness (no hum)? Want at least 1080i. Sorry did a search but could not find.

realized I would have to go bigger to get plasma, so must decide if it is worth it.
 
Note: There is no such thing as a 1080i plasma/LCD(resolution wise). Hitachi really plays some games with numbers to advertise their sets as that.

All you need to know is its basically 720p vs 1080p in fixed pixel displays.
 
Thanks for the info. Now to decide if 1080p is worth it . This tv buying has got complicated.
