Never mind...I'm just stupid

I just changed my mobo/cpu/memory to an Asus A7V, 1Gightz Athlon Thunderbird and my PC won't start up. I'm using a 300 Watt ATX power supply rated at 115V voltage and I'm pretty sure I connected everything right. I only have the CPU fan running. When I attach a power cable to the power supply, the PC starts up and then dies after 2 seconds. I can't even turn it on with the case power supply button and I'm pretty sure I connected the right LED. What's going on!? The mobo LED light is on when connected to the power supply, but I CAN"T TURN IT ON. Do I have a short somewhere? Did I do something wrong when I installed my CPU and memory. I'm pretty sure my jumper settings are right to with respect to voltage settings. PLEASE HELP ME!

Power Switch LED wasn't plugged in right after all. STUPID ME.

sounds like you don't have your power switch hooked up correctly. does the power supply fan only turn on for about 2 seconds like the rest of the system when you give it power? or is the PSU always on? do you get any beeps from the mobo speaker? if you get me some of this info, we might be able to track down your problems

You're not stupid.

You were just in a hurry to try your new machine & forgot to recheck your connections twice.😉

...like we're not all guilty of stuff like that at one time or another.
