Ok here goes:
I just reinstalled Win98SE and put DMA for the DVD (Primary Slave) and CDRW (Secondary Master) as ON. I rebooted and then for some weird reason I put DMA on for the IBM Boot Drive (Primary Master) and set it also on for the Western digital Drive (secondary slave).
somewhree in between I rebooted, well I can see my western digital but in the device proerties it says "X" for teh disabled CDRW. Now even my secondary controler (FIFO) has a "!" on it..
I am going to the safemode to see if I can revert that.. hopefully its that.I dont feel like reinstalling all again.
Will there be any improvement over not having DMA enabled for hard drives.
