Never going to go to another movie that gets good reviews from RT

I thought The Wrestler was good, but not great.

I also liked District 9, but I'm not in love with it like so many people are.

Good, not great.

I like the fact that it spits in Hollywoods face when the budget is considered.

It proves again that people do in fact like plot! And it didn't even talk about DNA!

it wasnt excellent.

it was fun and a little interesting, but plot holes and inconsistent shooting and so-so directing (which is par for the course for a film involving peter jackson, as far as im concerned) made damn sure it wasnt excellent.

id see the sequel, it should be fun, as well, but probably also will be half-ass directed.

Most plot holes have been explained or deliberatly left out

I agree that District 9 sucked, but this thread is not about District 9.

It's about people hating a website that doesn't even review movies, it simply pools other reviews and assesses a score. Why is that so hard to understand? All you people are doing is shooting the messenger. You may dislike the method they use for assigning a score, but I'll tell you that for a movie as heavily reviewed as District 9, it's not going to matter since they're pulling reviews from such a large data set. Maybe if you have a movie with 2 reviews of 3 out of 5, and they give it a "Rotten", then you have an argument. But not here.

District 9 at RT: 90% based on 227 reviews
District 9 at Metacritic: 80% based on 36 reviews.

Yeah, those scores are so vastly different. And it's better to use less reviews.
