If you lost a friend its even MORE important you move on. Get over it, or you're gonna be miserable for the rest of your life.

Spoken exactly like someone who has never lost someone in their life..

When you lose someone... you remember them... memorialize them... on the day they passed.

perhaps when you grow older.. you'll have these experiences that make the rest of us human.

Well why would a dead person care what alive people do for HIM at the funeral? He's fucking DEAD. If anything the funeral is for family/friends of the deceased and nothing else.

Your ignorance and stupidy are both equally annoying.

I was less than a mile away when it all happened. Lost some co-workers, almost a good friend and a few good neighbors that I didn't know and a temporary loss of directional sense now that the skyline has changed. That said, it's really time to move on and stop dwelling on the old and be more positive and forward thinking. I don't go around crying about nor reminding people of the victims of Nagasaki or Hiroshima and that event was far worse than this one. Not comparing anything more so than making a point really.

There were 2 Kiwis killed that day...however you arrange the date.

:(

I do keep thinking we should try to move on, or observe it in a different way....but then I keep thinking that 3000 people were killed. There's no limit to how long they can be mourned. We still think about Pearl Harbor, no? I think people are too quick to move on to the next story nowadays.

9 years and there's still nothing up yet?

As far as I'm concerned, the terrorists won on 9/11 because even after 9 years, we still have the populace shaking in their boots in fear of brown people. Keeping the big hole there just reminds everyone how scared we should perpetually remain.

If we were really as strong as we say we are, we'd have started rebuilding the day the rubble was cleaned up. That would have shown the people who attacked us that we will not live in fear and that taking down our buildings was nothing.

9 years and we STILL haven't found Osama Bin Forgotten...

9 years and we STILL haven't expelled all the Muslims from the USA...(/troll)

9 years and the politicians STILL throw out "9/11" for every dammed thing...

Should we ever forget this day? FUCK NO...but our politicians should be forever barred from using "OMG! 9/11" as their argument for anything...
