Never eat at Texas Roadhouse

Waited 2 hours for a table at Texas Roadhouse in Sacramento, Ca. Finally we were seated. Then the bad service started. We waited 30 min before the waiter came back and ask what we wanted to drink, we told her our drinks. Then we had to wait 45 more mins to get our drinks. And when she got our drinks, she didn't take our food orders. We waited 30 minutes before asking to speak to the manager. We told him we have been here for almost 4 hours, and seated for almost 2 hours, and no one has taken our order yet. He says tobad we just have to wait. Then we tell him we are leaving, and he said good.

Waited 2 hours to be seated at Texas Roadhouse
Waited 30 min before drink orders taken
Waited 45 more min before drinks brought to table
after 1 hour and 45 min of sitting down food order still not taken.
Complained to manager, said to bad. Get up and leave and manager thanks us for leaving.

Yeah...I have never been to the one in Sacramento, but the one I went to in Greeley, CO was EXCELLENT. Best food I have ever had at a restaurant like that...and those ROLLS with the cinnamon honey butter!!! OMG!

Awesome place, great service.

So now for me Logan Roadhouse > Texas Roadhouse.

Another thing, it was so dirty inside. WTF is with people throwing penut shells on the ground. Dirty people.

Exactly.

Been to several, in different cities... never had a problem.

FWIW... Outback seems to be the most consistant of the steakhouse chains... at least in my experience.

Unless you go high end i.e. Ruth Chris etc.

Uhm...that's just what you do in that resaturant. That goes on at all of them. But usually it is kept swept up pretty well at the good ones.

if a place is so busy there is a 2 hour wait, what makes you think things will improve once you are seated?

if a place is busy, go elsewhere

When I eat to Cheesecake factory it often takes 2 hours to be seated, but it never taken 2 more hours to have our order taken.

I never ate at a resturant that took more than an hour to get our order taken after we were seated.

lol...thats what you're suppose to do. they give you peanuts and you are allowed to throw the shells on the ground.

i never had any issues w/ the service, but the food is not that great. though for the price i guess there really arent too many options for better steaks

What's worse - the service or the fact it took 4 hours until you decided to leave?

Heh. And I wouldn't wait 2 hours to get into Texas Roadhouse...I mean it's great food, but....that's too long to wait for anywhere.

I've done this a few times, and have found that politeness in complaining goes very far - sound rude or whiny, and they won't worry about you - sound sincere and professional, and they have something to worry about.

We have long waits here in San Antonio at almost EVERY steakhouse, Roadhouse too. But not like that! And to have the mgr diss you too....that sucks!

One time we had a bad experience at Logan's - went to the Outback down the street, asked for the mgr and told him the story, and he made sure they took care of us. I made sure to include that in the letter I sent Logan's, and they sent us about $75 in dinner coupons! I also made sure to send a little thank you to the Outback folks...they all remember us now!

gwrober (!@#%$ now I'm hungry)

I believe you...no really I do!

you should have defiled the bunny with the antlers on it, that would have pissed off the manager!

i've eaten at the texas roadhouse here many times without issue... it seems to take a long time to get the food, but from what I understand (from the waitress that I dated for 3-4 months that worked there) everything is made fresh daily. Sometimes sauces, etc have to be made on the the spot
