I bought a unlocked 700 Mhz Duron which came locked. Emailed sales and got email back from support that I could connect them with a pencil. Duh, if I wanted to do that I wouldn't had bought it unlocked. Tried it and could not get above 800 Mhz. Emailed them six times by email and phone with no response. I just wanted to exchange it for a guarenteed 1Ghz overclocked for the same price I paid for the 700. Finally had to report thier ass to the BBB in Boise, Idaho where they are from. Anybody knows where you can buy a guarenteed overclocked Duron processor.

I've been trying to tell people who won't listen. :(
A Leopard does not change it's spots. However, trying to exchange it for one guaranteed for 1GHz, may have been a lofty request, unless that was originally guaranteed.

Also, remember to report your experience to Reseller Ratings

What kind of guarantee are you looking for?
I hope that the moderators don't cream me for this but, I will be getting some Duron 650MHz and 750MHz in tomorrow. They will be unlocked with conductive ink. I will need time to pretest them but you can e-mail me at sales@warpfactor-e.com.

first of all with prices they charge u can get a cpu that'll do that speed (that they guarentee) with out any changes, so it'll be more stable and u might even be able to overclock it more. And their reseller rating is crap so their promise doesnt mean jack.

Im sure there are ppl that have good experience with them, but with their service and EXTREMELY HIGH PRICES, there isnt any reason what so ever to buy from them.

Actually, for some of their items, they are too cheap and it makes you wonder. :Q

Does your invoice state that the cpu is sure able to run at 1g?
and you're trying to run the cpu out of spec, will BBB think that you're trying to do illegal practice on a product and ignore your case?

Yea they told him his cpu will run at that speed. It's not illegal to o/c. The cpu is your you can do what you want with it. You can cut it in half, make it melt in the oven if you want. Since they told him the cpu would run at that speed I beleve he has the right to demand reps.

I ordered no problems...guess I got lucky. And for me, $75 shipped for a unlocked Duron guaranteed to 1Ghz is not high...course I'm only running it at 950.

Bought an unlocked Tbird from them, guaranteed to OC to 1 gig. Was unstable above 900. I was really frustrated. Then I erased their pencil trick, redid L1 bridges with rear window defogger kit. Now I'm OC to 1130. IMHO the pencil trick is no good.
