I've been looking at the NetZero Platinum stuff, but I've noticed their wording is really ambiguous about the popups and advertisements you'll get with it. See where I am sometimes my ISP likes to crap out on me, so I have a free NZ account for those times I really need to get on. In the past I had the popups blocked through IE settings so I was able to play games over the net, but now they've started using in-OS popups, which I can't really do anything about. What I'm wondering is what kind of popups and whatnot happen with the Platinum service, since it appears they went out of their way to not say exactly but make it look like there are none. Anybody know?
 
It looks like they don't give you any popups, and reduce the number of email solicitations. I'd assume that means that there's no other sort of ads appearing besides the remaining email ads. I assume the "NetZero Guide" is the way they show the ads normally, and it says you don't have that with the Platinum service.

For 9.95 a month, I suppose the Platinum service can't be too bad. Can't really complain about the ads with the free service, even if they do make gaming hard.
