networking Xbox 360 + PC ?!?!?

the 360 is on my router and got a static IP and all PCs and consoles have their right IP and the network is set up properly.

but i cannot ping the 360...it is like its not even there on the network.


Also...my GF just got an old game "Jedi Academy"...i know this game exists on PC too...is there ANY way to play via network with me on the PC and she on the 360 ??? Is there a way in general to play via LAN with PC games and an xbox connected on the same network?

No you can't play cross platform on PC and 360. I think to this day only 2 games can do that and they both suck (shadowrun and lost planet IIRC). Not sure what's up with your router, except to make sure all ports are open that need to be. Have you tried using the 360 to see your PC? Also, I think you need WMP11 or Media center edition for your PC and 360 to even get along.
