Greetings.

I have 2 computers. I have a Dell laptop and an LG desktop both running XP. I have a wireless modem (Bell Sympatico). My laptop connects wirelessly and the desktop connects via ethernet. I have created a home network and I can see both computers. What I mean is that when I view the workgroup computers, I see the other computer but I cannot access it. I've had this problem before but I can't remember what I did to solve it.

The main reason for doing this is to be able to print wirelessly. I know, because I used to do it with my old desktop (Dell). What am I missing? If you need more information just post and I'll get back to you.

Thanks in advance.

so computer1 has user1 password1, and you have that same user1 and password1 on computer 2, right?

Sorry, I was unclear. What I meant was: does each machine have each other's names?

Yes they do... they are both on the same workgroup and can see each other. The problem is something is not letting me connect.

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
