hi, i want to set up my computers so i can share files but i need a bit of help.
i have a linksys wireless router which is connected to my laptop (win2000) via a wireless nic and my main pc (winxp) is also connected to the router via a network cable. i have set up the pcs so they have the same workgroup name, and i have managed to get them to see each other, but i cannot get them to access each other. i have set up shared folders on each but i dont know what to do next.

if i try to access the laptop from the main pc, i get an error message saying the computer is not accessible, the network path was not found.

if i try to access the main pc from the laptop, i get a message saying the workgroup is not accessible, the list of servers is not currently available.

any help would be appreciated thx🙂
 
have done, i've noticed that they dont seem to be able to see each other at the same time
eg laptop will recognise the main pc but not the main pc will not recognise the laptop or sometimes its the other way around, but never both together
