Here's the deal. I have two computers with network cards, one cable modem, and a "FriendlyNET FH10T5 - Hub - 5 Port(s) - 10Base-T - 10 Mbps". It has 5 ethernet plug-ins plus one labeled "uplink". Would I just connect my cable modem to uplink, and the two computers to two of the #'s slots, and be done with it? Would this work? Any help would be appreciated.

Doing a slight bit of research, it looks like I will want to buy a router. Is there any way to use a hub to share a cable connection, or should I just go out and buy a router?

You'll need that router to perform nat, otherwise only one computer at a time can be online, unless you want to run ICS or some half baked Microshaft solution.
