Networking Basics

I have 3 PCs- 2 desktops and a laptop that I currently run off an encrypoted FIOS router for the Internet: wired for the desktops and wireless for the laptop. What I am interested in doing is learning networking basics while the same time setting up a home network to share my printers and files between the PCs.

Any good ideas on how to do this?

if you want to learn more in-depth about general networking or networking windows machines there are web sites that can help with that, and loads of books.
