Networking 6 computers with DSL

I'm a beginner in networking, so i'm asking for help from networking gurus here. 🙂

I'm setting up six computers with win 98 for senior center in my town.
They've been given five computers as a donation. That's great, but i have to set it up for them and i'm just not too excited about setting up Pentium II machines with win98(i don't even know if it's second edition or not).

I'm already worried about setting up internet sharing via a router for them. They have a dsl connection for the one computer they have. I'm thinking of buying a router with enough ports with printer server function and connecting them.
For Cable connection, i don't see much problem, but for DSL(most likely pppoe), i'm not sure what to do.

Can someone explain to me in step by step fashion how to set up networking with this "set up"?
thank you in advance.

Windows 98 works great under DHCP...

Go buy a cool LinkSys router and grandpa will think your god!!! Hardest part is running the cat5 cables.... unless all the computers are in one room.

If all the computers are in diffrent rooms go wireless. assuming the rooms arn't two far apart. Turn on DHCP on all the 98 machines. They will atumatically pick up an IP address from the router...

Your problems are over... The hardest part will be getting the nics to work with the old machines.

PPOE? Sheesh, that's just as easy as telling your router to use it... But here are some steps from dlink in case you get stuck...
