First, I am networking ignorant, so please bear with me. Just got a new PC with XP and a D-Link 704P to go with an existing Win98 machine and RCA cable modem. Both PC's can get on the internet and email fine, but can't seem to get them to communicate with each other. I have both setup to share files and identified as part of the same workgroup, but when I click on network neighborhood, I get nothing. Any help would be appreciated, especially a simple checklist to follow to get them communicating. I did follow an XP utility for home networking and it even created a floppy to install on the 98 machine, but that did not seem to help either. Thanks.
