network winamp or mp3 player setup

My roommate wants to use my 5.1 setup to play music. I'd like to setup
a way for him to play files on his computer through my speakers from his computer
without him having to do anything on my machine. I know there's a network plugin that
lets others control the playing of your files but i need it so he can play either his or mine.
