Where can I find out my network statistics in XP? I'd specifically like to see how much incoming and outgoing bandwith is being used currently, and maybe a running total as well. Is this accessible in the OS, or will I need a utility to do it? Thanks.

the only thing dumeter will do that taskmanager will not is give you network usage reports. everything else xp's taskmanager can handle, and it's "free"

ya, use Performance Monitor. It's listed under Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Performance.

Add a counter, then select Network or Network Interface from the dropdown list, then select whatever you want graphed. Not the best tool in the world, but it'll let you see the current in/out/total/etc.

Otherwise you can check out Bandwidth Monitor Pro. It's a shareware app with a nice graph window that sits over your desktop.
