Network server?

I am just wondering I have 6 pcs, that are all peer to peer. There all in the network and I can access any one from the other. I was wondering what the advantage is to a network server as opposed to just peer to peer like I have.

Performance
Flexibility
Wide range of network services available
Better allocation or resources
management/administration tends to be easier/more powerful
