Network recycle bin?

Is there a way or a program that will let me have a Recycle Bin of sorts for files deleted across the network? I plan to give other people access to a shared folder and would prefer a way to save files that they might accidentally delete since windows normally bypasses the Recycle Bin when deleting files over the network.

There isnt such a thing, why not just only give them read access so they cannot change/delete things?

The other option would be to use 2K3 server for your file server and enable volume shadow copy as it can be used to "undelete" things.

If you run NetWare you can salvage any files that were deleted, the system only purges them disk space gets low or when you manually purge them.

There was I seem to remember using a program called undelete. It managed anything deleted on the computer by default. Even a program install. The files replaced would be moved to a bin. It has been awhile since I used this. It, if I remember correctly was for 2k pro. I used it on a test server for 2ksv but it had problems once the files became numerous "lockups". You might try a search for it. If I find it on an old disk I will give you more info on it. I liked the concept because if some oned deleted files across multiple directories it was easy to just restore the deleted files w/ a point and click menu!

Good Luck
